Henry Wilfong, 70, of Rock Creek, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
Born Sept. 26, 1943, in Buckhannon, W.Va., he was the son of Hazel (Tenney) and George Henry Wilfong. He married Patricia Ann Willoughby on June 11, 1993, in Thomasville, W.Va.
Henry was a longtime employee at the Morton Salt Mine as a mechanic and retired after 25 years of service in 2007.
Henry loved music, and was a talented musician and guitar player. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was a great southern-style country cook and nobody ever went hungry. Henry was a family man and the greatest grandpa that ever existed.
Survivors are his son, Chris (Missy Gaines) Wilfong; daughters, Mistie (Chadd Kidder) Hungerford and Angie Wilfong; adopted daughter, Crystal ""Gale"" Westbrook; grandchildren, Austin and Alexis Hungerford; mother-in-law, Phyllis Willoughby; sisters, Lola Mae (Robert) Linger, Myrtle (Lloyd) Ogden, Linda Lou Loudin and Janet DePoy; sister-in-law, Samantha (Mark) Brandt; and brothers-in-law, Kirk Cutright, Richard Loudin, Raymond (Carrie) Willoughby, James Willoughby and Christopher (Jill) Willoughby.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; parents; sisters, Guyldia DePoy and Debra Eileen Wilfong; brother-in-law, Glenn Willoughby; and father-in-law, Raymond Willoughby.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 8 p.m. Final resting place will be at Trumbull Township Cemetery.
