Iretta McCoy Shepard Obituary
Born Dec. 13, 1937, in Newburgh, W.Va., she was the daughter of Paul and Nellie (Casteel) Brown.
Iretta had worked as a home health aide in Punta Gorda, Fla.
She was an active member of the Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church of God, where she participated in the choral group, which sang at area nursing homes.
Survivors are her husband, Robert Shepard; sons, John (Marsha) McCoy of Lyndhurst and Paul (Susan) McCoy of Eastlake; daughter, Sarah (Derrick) Wilson of Chardon; brother, Russell Weaver of Buchanan, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Stuart E. McCoy in 1986; and infant brother, Nelson Brown.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the Christian Life Church, 8250 Garfield Road, Mentor.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Saybrook Cemetery.
Donations in her memory are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Arrangements are suggested to The Potti Funeral Home, 1009 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
