James ""Jim"" E. Snyder, 47, died Feb. 2, 2014, at Tri Point Medical Center Concord.
Born Jan. 1, 1967, in Painesville, he was a Thompson Township resident for more than 30 years.
He held various management positions for Mid-West Materials in Perry Township for 27 years. Jim loved to do things with his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coaching softball, farming and raising bulldogs.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sherry (Lette) Snyder, whom he married May 21, 1988; son, Jimmy Snyder; mother, Judy Pullin of Conneaut, father, James Dow Snyder of Tennessee; brother, Sammy (Amanda) Snyder; and sister, Linda Sue (Trevor) Ylisaari, both of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Joe Snyder.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square) Chardon.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at at the funeral home. Burial wilI follow at Hambden Cemetery.
