Joan Leppelmeier Obituary
She was born September 4, 1930, and grew up in Gates Mills before moving to Highland Heights 50 years ago.
Mrs. Leppelmeier had worked part-time for the Mayfield Schools. She was active in the Mayfield Township Historical Society.
Survivors are her husband of 57 years, Elton T.; daughters, Kathryn (David) Warne of Cincinnati, and Sandra Leppelmeier of Concord; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Leppelmeier.
Funeral services and interment are private.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the Nicol-Wells-Kloss-Murphy Funeral Home, 5252 Mayfield Rd. (between Richmond and Brainard roads), Lyndhurst.

To Elton Leppelmeier and family,
We send our deepest sympathy to Elton and the daughters and grandchildren and great grandchildren on the passing of Joan. We were there at the marriage of Joan and Elton 57 years ago as part of the Nela Park young adults and newly married community. So many memories return of those starting days for all the families. Our thoughts are with you.
