Obituary Condolences

John David ""JD"" Bedford, 73, passed away on April 16, 2013, at Lake Health West Medical Center.
Born August 17, 1939, in Reynolds Corner, Ohio, he lived in Mentor for the past 20 years.
He was a member of the Painesville Assembly of God and ministering to men was a particular interest. Other activities included cooking, Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship, Teen Challenge of Perry, MMA Fighting, The Mustang Club, racing motorcycles as well as building and racing cars and lawn mowers. He served in The United States Navy from 1960-1963.
He is survived by his wife Lynn Peterson (Fifield) Bedford whom he married on Jan. 13, 2001 in Mentor. Also surviving are his children: John (Shelly) Bedford, Jim Bedford, Joe (Linda) Bedford, Margie (Ron) Campbell, Jeff (Kelly) Bedford, Karie (Mike) Matejka, Laurie (James) Parks.
He also leaves 31 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Omer and Julia Bedford, daughter Julia Bedford and two grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Painesville Assembly of God 10949 Johhnycake Ridge Road in Concord. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Aaron Taylor will officiate.
