Julius Orlandi Obituary
He was born Feb. 21, 1932, in Cleveland.
Julius was a member of the American Legion Post #759 and the Knights of Columbus Gilmour #310. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Julius loved golf and bowling. His favorite music was from the Big Band era. Julius was a former manager of the Mayfield Boys Baseball league. His family gave him the most enjoyment in life and they remember him as a cheerful giving person with a good sense of humor who was dedicated to his family.
Julius retired from DuPont in November 1990 as a regional sales manager.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Barbara (nee Morris); sons, Michael (wife Lisa) of Chardon, Philip (fiancee Stacey) of Bellingham, Wash., Paul (Sherrie) of Eastlake; daughters, Laura Ardire (husband James) of Mayfield Heights, Julie Zukauckas (husband Brian) of Maple Heights; grandchildren, Madison, Kendall, Gavin and Peyton Orlandi, Olivia and Mallory Zukauckas, Joshua Peters (wife Jeanette), Stephanie Ardire (fiance Michael Seifried), and Cassie Ardire; great-granddaughter Avery McDonald; sister, Josephine DiFranco (husband Joseph). He was an uncle and great-uncle of many.
He was preceded in death by grandchild, Devon; parents, Julius Sr. and Theresa (nee Guiliani) Orlandi; brother, Felice Orlandi; and sister-in-law, Alice Orlandi.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at St. Clare Catholic Church, 5659 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst.
Father Thomas L. Weber will officiate.
Burial will follow at Knollwood Cemetery.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of South Euclid, 4600 Mayfield Road (just east of Green Road).

My sympathies to all of the Orlandi family. I remember Mr. Orlandi quite well from both the neighborhood and his involvement with Little League baseball in Mayfield Hts. I hadn't seen him since I imagine 1979 or so, and then several years back I was at a golf outing (Fowlers' Mill?), and he approached me at the teebox and said "Hi, Vince", as casually as if we had seen each other two days or two weeks ago. A true gentleman.
