Kathryn O. Finlaw, 91, of Greene, died at 10:27 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.

Kathryn was born on July 6, 1922, in Northfield, the daughter of the late William and Albie Yunkman Eddy.
Mrs. Finlaw was a lifetime member of the Greene Church of the Nazarene, where she had held various board positions over the years.
She was a 1940 graduate of Greene High School. Kathryn was an employee of Stanley Home Products for 50 years. Most of her clientele were of the Amish community, mainly of the Mesopotamia and Middlefield areas.
She developed many close friendships among the Amish community. She was united in marriage on Nov. 7, 1942, to Louis Finlaw, who preceded her in death Dec. 31, 2003.
She enjoyed luncheons with her former classmates. Kathryn was an avid fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indians. She enjoyed going to the sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her favorite thing to do was bake homemade bread for her family and friends.
Loving memories will be carried on by her children, Donna (Edward) Evans of Johnston, Dianne (William) Spitler of Greene, and William (Susan) Finlaw of Greene with whom she made her home. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kim Bunea, Karl (Amber) Evans, William (Christine) Spitler, Kathryn (Roy) McCale Jr., Jason Park and Miranda Park; and five great-grandchildren, Matthew and Nathan Spitler, Abigail and Anna Evans, and Aedan McCale.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at the Greene Church of the Nazarene, 8916 State Route 46 NE, North Bloomfield, where Pastor Jim Elkin will celebrate Kathryn's life.
Family and friends may visit from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland, and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church.
