Linda Sue Simmons, 62, a lifelong resident of Painesville, passed away March 6, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born March 1, 1951, in Painesville, to Joseph and Susie Mae (Spikes) Simmons, Linda was a former machinist at Parker Hannifin and Sas Rubber, and worked as a housekeeper for the Elizabeth Krause family. She was a member of the Greater Faith Tabernacle Church in Painesville.
Linda is survived by her brother, Ronald Simmons. She was like a mother to her nieces and nephews, Quentin, Latavia and Jordon Simmons, and a close sister/cousin to Rose Edwards and Jeanette Martin. She is also survived by her goddaughter, Fateria Edwards and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her life partner, William (Feet) Boyd; parents; several aunts and uncles; and niece, Latila Simmons.
Memorial Services will be 5 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the New Hope Baptist Church, 428 W. Jackson St., Painesville.
