Funeral services for Lorene (nee Powell) Litwinick, 82, of Willowick, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mrs. Litwinick passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at her residence in Willowick.
Born March 20, 1931, in Leano Mines, Va., she had been a Lake County resident for 42 years, living in Wickliffe before moving to Willowick.
Lorene was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 3863 Ladies Auxiliary in Eastlake and a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 678 in Willowick. She was a lifelong caregiver, loved dancing, birdwatching and babysitting for her children. She loved her kids.
She was the loving mother of Patricia A. (James) Sikora of Brunswick, Donald R. (fiancée, Doreen Dybzinski) Cundiff of Willowick and Lori M. (Scott) DuVall of Grand Rapids, Mich.; cherished grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of 16; sister of Mildred Sarten, William (Nettie) Powell, Helen Stallard, Anna Pollarine, Jean (Bill) Bandy, Fran (Bob) Oldenburge, Marty (Gary) Miller, Roy (Susie) Powell and Mary Jane Harrison; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Litwinick in 1986; son, Ronald W. Cundiff; daughter, Martha Jean Pittman; parents, Richard and Nora (nee Hale) Powell; twin brothers, Lloyd and Floyd Powell; brother, Harold Powell; and brothers-in-law, Fred Sarten, Orville Stallard and Nick Pollarine.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a joint service with the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 3863 in Eastlake and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 678 in Willowick, be conducted at 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Theodosius Cemetery, 8200 Biddulph Road, Brooklyn.
