Lydia Miller, age 78, lifelong resident of Middlefield, passed away Friday morning, March 16, 2012, at Briar Hill Health Care Residence in Middlefield.
"Together again" with her husband Eli Miller, who died in 2004, they were married April 15, 1954, in Parkman, having been married 50 loving years before he died.
Lydia was born Aug 5, 1933, in Parkman, daughter of Noah and Lydia (Miller) Miller.
She was a homemaker and a member of Maple View Mennonite Church in Burton Township. Her hobbies included baking cookies with her grandchildren, sewing, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her friends and family.
Survivors are her six children, John E. (Sandra) Miller of Lyndhurst, Barb (Ken) Detweiler of Huntsburg, Noah (Linda) Miller of Montville, Marie (Bob) Whelchel of Thompson, Susan Miller of Middlefield and Eli Miller Jr. of Sarasota, Fla.; two brothers, Neil Miller of Virginia, Joe Miller of Missouri; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eli; parents; and 12 brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Maple View Mennonite Church, 14890 Burton Windsor Road, Burton Township.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at Maple View Cemetery.
