Mark C. Brostek Obituary
Mark C. Brostek, 62, of Auburn Township, took his final drive as a cross country truck driver Sunday July 7, 2013, ending his life journey in Carroll County, Virginia, at the wheel of what he loved to do.
Born July 15, 1950, in Cleveland, Mark was the son of Joseph and Joyce (Ernst) Brostek. A resident of Auburn Township since 2005, he formerly lived in Newbury for many years, and had attended Chardon High School.
Mark was employed as a welder-fabricator at Chrome Depot in Mantua since 2001, taking great pride in his work. He was an avid fabricator and woodworker whose passions included restoring old cars, especially antique Ford's, and his Great Danes, Coonhound and Bassett Hound. He could fix anything and his woodworking projects were done with such love, that it could be seen in everything he completed. Mark was a lifetime member of the NRA, and a member of The Heritage Foundation Leadership for America.
He is survived by wife, Cindy (Buckwalter) Brostek, whom he married June 30, 2000. Mark is also survived by his children; step-children; grandchildren; his mother, Joyce Schrader of Chardon; and brother, Michael (Patricia) Brostek of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Brostek in 1966.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday July 13, 2013 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, State Route 44 at the corner of 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. Casual dress is encouraged to those attending, jeans would have been Mark's choice.
