Mary Arcadi Obituary
Mary passed away March 31, 2011, in Delray Beach, Fla.
She was born Dec. 25, 1923, in Webster, Pa., to Vasil and Mary Uram. Mary and her husband Joseph moved to Northeast Ohio in 1948, living in Fairport Harbor and Mentor before moving in 2002 to Delray Beach, Fla.
Mary was a homemaker and worked at Fluid Controls in Mentor before retiring in 1985.
Mary's life will be remembered and measured by the goodness of her heart. She had a selfless love that was felt by many through her kind acts and caring nature. She was a devoted wife, mother, loving grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to her many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joseph.
She is survived by her two sons, Carmen (Marlene) Arcadi of Painesville and Joseph (Patricia) Arcadi of Boynton Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Joseph (Meg) Arcadi of Chardon, Eric (Anna) Arcadi of Chagrin Falls, Amy (Scott) Anthony of Lyndhurst, Michelle (John) Duffy of Delray Beach Fla., and Jason (Maria) Arcadi of Concord Township; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Troy of West Newton, Pa.

Nonnie--I Miss you so much! I think of you each and everyday. You have and still continue to be such an inspiration and role model for me. Memories of the special times we've spent together are held close to my heart.

What a sweet, kind, funny lady she was:) I worked with Mary many years ago, at Fluid Controls, Mentor. We shared many talks, good fellowship and many recipes! I think and speak of you with some of the ones left from those days. God bless....

I have fond memories of Aunt Mamie at Pap's (John Uram) and Grandma's 50th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful woman she was. May God Bless her and your family. Take comfort in knowing you had such a wonderful woman in your family for so long.

I have many wonderful memories of Mary. As her massage therapist she shared many of her personal disappointments and joys with me. She is truly a woman that has left a deep impression of perseverance, forgiveness, positive attitude and unconditional love with me. I say my prayers with her in mind and know that she is at great peace.
