Mary Louise Blankenship, 89, of Mentor, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, at Hospice House in Cleveland.

She was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Pageton, W.Va., to Sam and Irene Mitchem.
Mary belonged to Nottingham Baptist Church in Willoughby Hills.
She enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers and jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include her children, David (Linda) Blankenship of Mentor and Rosemary Broos of Madison; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; son, Michael; and granddaughter, Elaine.
A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nottingham Baptist Church, 2921 Bishop Road, Willoughby Hills. Interment will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park, Mayfield Village.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
