Mary Terese Hurley Obituary
Mary Terese Hurley, age 90, passed away February 6, 2018 at her home. She was born in Cleveland and had lived in Euclid for 68 years.
Mary Terese was a 1945 graduate of Notre Dame Academy. She was a proud member of the East Side Irish American Club and its 1996 Member of the Year. She was also the 1984 Cleveland Irish Mother of the Year. Mary Terese was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake. She was a woman of faith and a selfless servant, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors are her children, Timothy (Ann), Brian (Monica), Mary, Terese, Patricia (James) Lyons, Maureen (John) Antalovich, Daniel (Kathleen), Michael and Robert (Mary); grandchildren, Katie (Craig) Wales, Dan, John, Kevin (Cara), Michael (Kate), Thomas (Emily), Ryan, Megan, Connor and Shaelin Hurley, Annie (Drew) Ayers, Mary Grace Antalovich, and James and Thomas Lyons; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joanna Garry; and many, nieces, nephews, cousins and loyal friends.
Mary Terese was preceded in death by her parents, Ned and Mary Garry; husband, Edward J. Hurley; sons, Kevin and Terrence; and brothers and sister, Edward (Agnes), William (Jeanne), Ann (Jerry) O'Driscoll, Robert and John Garry.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Jean, Mary Jo, Kim and Anna and to the staff of Hospice of the Western Reserve. The family also wishes to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Jeffrey Lautman.
The funeral Mass will take place Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Holy Cross Church, 19951 Lake Shore Blvd., Euclid. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, February 16 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Schulte & Mahon-Murphy Funeral Home, 5252 Mayfield Rd. (between Richmond and Brainard) in Lyndhurst.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Mary Terese's name to Partners in Development, 174 High St., Suite 106, Ipswich, MA 01938.
