Nicholas Bobeczko, 99, passed away Feb. 10, 2014, at Parker Place in Mentor.
Mr. Bobeczko was the loving father of Gerald (Mary Jo) and Daniel (Oksana); cherished grandfather of Paul (Laura), Anne (Joe) Callis, Karen (Paul) Ridder, Dan Jr. (Gary DiBianca), Andrea Gyure and Gregory (Kristin); great-grandfather of 13; dear brother-in-law of Taras (Midge) Szmagala; and dearest uncle and dear friend of many.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 72 years, Mary (nee Szmagala); son, Taras Gregory; loving parents, Theodore and Catherine Bobeczko; brothers, Steve and John; and sisters, Mary Toth and Rose Popiolek.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at The Kolodiy-Lazuta Funeral Home, 5677 State Road, Parma, with Parastas at 7 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church, 7700 Hoertz Road, Parma, OH 44134. (Please meet at the church.) Entombment will be at St. Andrew Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the Bobeczko family suggests contributions to St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church (see address above).
