The Honorable Patrick J. Rhoa, 53, passed away at his home in University Heights on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013.
He was born May 30, 1960, in Cleveland, and had lived in Waite Hill before moving to University Heights 22 years ago.
Mr. Rhoa was employed as a judge by the Social Security Administration for three years. He had previously been law clerk for Judge James Porter.
Survivors are his wife, Trish (nee Conway); sons, Michael, Emmett and Kevin; parents, Al and Mary Margaret; brothers, Mark (Mary Ellen), Matthew (David Brailer); sister, Kerry Tarpley (Hugh); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael.
Funeral Mass will take place 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Gesu Church, 2470 Miramar Blvd., University Heights. Private burial services will be in Waite Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at the Schulte and Mahon-Murphy Funeral Home, 5252 Mayfield Rd. (between Richmond and Brainard Roads), Lyndhurst.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rhoa Children Education Fund, c/o Huntington Bank, 20601 Fairmount Blvd., Shaker Heights, OH 44118.
