1922 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
Paul R. Edmiston Services for Paul R. Edmiston, 90, of Eastlake, will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Monday. Mr. Edmiston passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby. Born Aug. 10, 1922, in Tyrone, Pa., he had lived in Eastlake for the past 50 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was also a member of Lakeland Baptist Temple in Eastlake. He loved to work on cars and watch football. Mr. Edmiston was employed as a crane operator with the former Lucas Machine Company in Cleveland. He retired in 1988 after 28 years of service. Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Georgia (Ressler); children, Sue Grochowski of Eastlake, Mary (Bernie) Goodrich of Concord Township and Paul Edmiston of Euclid; grandchildren, Jennifer, Gerald, Glenn, Katie, Bryan, Kevin and Aaron; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves his sister, Doris Skinner of San Antonio, Texas;and many nieces, nephews and their families. His parents, Ellsworth and Maude (Harpster) Edmiston; brothers, Clayton Harpster and Lee Edmiston; and faithful companion, Misty are deceased. Final resting place will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park in Mayfield Village following the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Lakeland Baptist Temple, 34024 Roberts Road, Eastlake, OH 44095.
