Rae Minnick, 98, of Middlefield, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Briar Hill Health Care Residence.
Born June 4, 1915, in Cleveland, to Nuchum and Ida (Blum) Taubman, Rae was a bookkeeper at the Cleveland Athletic Club for several years and was a nurse's aide at Briar Hill Health Care Residence for a short time in 1979.
She was married to Andy Minnick in 1977 until his death in 2007. A resident of the area since 1972, coming from Mayfield Heights, Rae was also a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church in Burton Township.
Survivors include her stepchildren, Keith (Elaine) Minnick of North Carolina, Carol (Paul) Schwendeman of Burton and Judith (John David) Cain of Kansas; and many friends and other relatives.
Rae was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Albert Hartka in 1970; and second husband, Andy Minnick.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at the Maple View Mennonite Church, 14890 Burton-Windsor Road, Burton Township. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Pastor Ernie Frances will officiate, and burial will be in Maple View Cemetery.
