Private family services were held for Richard E. Bellew, 77, of Willowick.
Mr. Bellew passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Heartland of Mentor.
Born July 30, 1935, in Cleveland, he had been a Lake County resident for 48 years, living in Eastlake and Willoughby before moving to Willowick.
Richard was a Golden Gloves Boxing Champion and an Ohio Former Boxing Champion. He was a licensed certified time keeper for U.S.A. Boxing.
Mr. Bellew retired from Pepsi, where he had worked as an area supervisor.
Survivors are his beloved wife of 55 years, Joanne F. (Loparo) Bellew; loving father of Donald R. Bellew, Bruce E. Bellew, Mark R. Bellew and Richard A. Bellew; cherished grandfather of Zachary E. and Maria A.; brother of Donald W. (Patty) Bellew; brother-in-law of Myrna Bellew; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Hazel (Hamilton) Bellew; and brother, James Bellew.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
