Rose Drenik Obituary
Born Sept. 19, 1919, in Cleveland, she had lived in Wickliffe for 50 years prior to moving to Willowick six years ago.
Survivors are her children, Phillip (Jean), Douglas (Jill), Rosalyn (Ken) Stevens, Gary (Lois), Lisa (Mark) Drenik-Jones and Daryl; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved and devoted husband of 63 years, Felix.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at The Cosic Funeral Home, 28890 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. Wednesday morning until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.

Gary, Lois, and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We did not have the opportunity to meet your Mother, but we feel as if we knew her well.
Mom had to be an incredibly strong and compassionate individual. She possessed a resiliency and resolve to work her way through issues and challenges -- both physically, intellectually, accomplishing it with a great balance of emotion.
She was passionate about life. She never feared hardwork, learning new ideas, or embracing a committment to God, Family, and Friends. She loved her family completely.
Though we did not have the pleasure to meet your Mom, we know that she gave each of us the greatest of gifts -- she gave us you, and the characteristics of strength, courage, growth-orientation, and a resolve to carry her and your Dad's beliefs forward.
In a sense, we are heartened to believe that a bit of your Mother and Father live on and forever, Gary. We celebrate her life.

My heartfelt condolences to Gary, his immediate family and the extended family. I did not know Mrs. Drenik, but I know Gary well, and she and Mr. Drenik raised a fine son.
