Rudolph "Rudy" J. Rezak, Jr., 84, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at his home.
He was born in Cleveland on Feb. 18, 1929, the son of Rudolph and Mary (Koren) Rezak, Sr.
Rudy served his country proudly as a member of the US Army during the Korean War.
He worked for many years as a surveyor for the Chicago Title Agency. He was a member of the American Legion.
Rudy was a wonderful painter and a very talented crafter of the most beautiful jewelry. He was the most sociable man you could ever meet and he will be dearly missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his sister, Marian Thompson; his nieces, Theresa (Mark) Patrick, Connie (Jeff) White, Kathy Wallace, Christine (Jim) Hogan and Tracey Rezak; his nephews, Gary (Sharon) Thompson and Joseph (Monika) Rezak; his sister-in-law, Mary Rezak; as well as the great uncle of 14 and the great-great uncle of many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Agnes Rezak in 2011; his brother, Joseph; his brother-in-law, Gary Thompson; and his niece, Karen Rezak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday Oct. 7, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine Street, Willowick.
Burial will take place at a later date in the Ohio Western Reserve Veteran's Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
The Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake is handling the arrangements for the family.
