Shauston M. Pratt, age 24, a lifelong Wickliffe resident, died Monday, March 19, 2012.

He was born Nov. 14, 1987, in Euclid.
Shauston worked at the Red Robin Restaurant in Willoughby as a busboy and dishwasher. Red Robin has initiated the Shauston Pratt Lifetime Achievement Award: Striving for Excellence. A few months ago, he saved a coworker's life at the restaurant who was choking on a chicken bone by performing the Heimlich maneuver on him. He also worked at the Heinen's store in Pepper Pike as a grocery associate.
Shauston loved spending time with family, camping, and playing guitar.
He was in his senior year at Cleveland State University working toward his B.S. in health sciences to become a physician's assistant.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Sandy (Mecoli) of Wickliffe; siblings, Shane Pratt of Wickliffe, Shariah (Jesse) Isom of Mayfield Heights, Shilah Pratt of Wickliffe, Sharissa Pratt of Wickliffe; grandfather, Gilbert Mecoli of Wickliffe; grandmother, Caryle Pratt of Modesto, Calif.; niece, Shaubriana Pratt; and many aunts and uncles
Preceding Shauston in death is his grandfather, Clifford Pratt; and grandmother, Janet Mecoli.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Willowick, 31433 Vine St., Willowick.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in care of the family.
