Steve Kopasz Jr., 86, of Willowick, passed away Feb. 9, 2013, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby surrounded by his family.

Born May 19, 1926, in Cleveland, he had lived in Willowick for the past 62 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a former Little League Baseball manager in Willowick, a founding member of the Willowick Campers, American Legion Post 678, and a volunteer with the Willowick Fire Department.
Mr. Kopasz retired in 1986 from General Electric, after 44 years of service.
Survivors are his loving wife of 65 years, Matilda "Tillie" Kopasz (Gabriel); children, Allen (Sandy), Gary and Joyce (Jeff Kokish) Workman; grandchildren, Tina (Lance) McBee, Shawn (Shannon) Kopasz, Shane (Kristen) Kopasz, Shannon (Dino) Capra, Jonathan Workman, Jordan (Season) Workman, Karlie Workman and Dallas Domenech; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Toth and Irene Hajdu.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Burial at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
