Thomas F. Cox age 85, died Dec. 24, 2012, at his home in Willoughby.|
Tom was born July 15, 1927, in Cleveland.
Tom was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, a 30-year veteran of the Cleveland Fire Department, an account executive with Jamestown Paint Company from 1972 to 2010 and played professional baseball from 1947 to 1950.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all his friends and family for visits and calls during his illness and can't thank their sister Anne enough for her excellent care that she gave their Dad. They also would like to thank his Hospice caregiver, Linda Passmore.
Survivors are his loving children, Molly (Bill) Mount, Anne Cox and Patrick (Liza) Cox; devoted granddaughter, Elizabeth Cox; and his four-legged companions, Lily and Tequila.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Suzanne (nee Monroe); parents, Francis and Agnes G. Cox (nee Kuehn); and sister, Jean.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37932 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
