Tom F. Bartlett, 75, of Newbury, departed this life Oct. 12, 2013.
He was born Sept. 4, 1938, in Cleveland.
His parents, Charles and Phyllis (nee Crane) Bartlett preceded him in death.
Mr. Bartlett lived in Newbury for 45 years with his wife of 50 years, Joan L. (nee Wicks) Bartlett. He was the proud father of Christofer Tom Bartlett and Capt. Jillian Joan Eriksson; and grandfather to three boys and one girl. He is also survived by his brother, Fred Bartlett.
Mr. Bartlett attended John Adams High School, Northwestern University and Eastern Kentucky University. He retired in 2000 from General Motors Corporation, where he had worked for 30 years, mainly in quality assurance.
Tom was a member of Village Lodge 274 F. and A.M., and 32 Degree Scottish Rite, Valley of Cleveland. He also belonged to the Amateur Trapshooting Association, spending many years trapping and skeet shooting. He was an avid sportsman.
A memorial service will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Chalet at Punderson State Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Newbury Volunteer Fire Department would be appreciated.
