Walter Franklin Anspach III, 59, died Feb. 25, 2014, at Mentor Way Nursing Home.
He was born May 21, 1954, in Painesville, and had lived in Cleveland.
Walter was a graduate of The Ohio School for the Blind and worked as a piano tuner.
He played the bass and loved listening to the radio, especially the Cleveland Cavaliers games. He enjoyed his electronic gadgets, spending time with people and his cherished pet bird, Bronson. Walter was also a member of the Society of the Blind.
Survivors are his mother, Ellen McLane of Arab, Ala.; siblings, Linda (Wayne) Lee, Victor (Peggy) Anspach, Bruce (Karen) Anspach, Susan (David) Gregory, Brian (Lydia) White, Lynn (Gladys) Anspach and Ardyce (Frank) Molina. He was very close with his nieces, Lydia Ortega and Brenda Boskovic and Leslie Loveland, and nephew, Edwin Sandoval. He leaves many more nieces and nephews.
Walter is preceded in death by his father, Walter Franklin Anspach Jr.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, with services to immediately follow at 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave. (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville.
