Walter Kremm Obituary
He was born in Cleveland and had lived in Willoughby Hills before moving to Chester Township 52 years ago.
Mr. Kremm graduated from Shore High School in Euclid and Ohio University. He received an M.A. from Western Reserve and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II as a medical aide.
He taught international relations and history at Cleveland Heights High for 30 years and was elected to the Hall of Fame of the Euclid Alumni Association.
Mr. Kremm is survived by his son, Walter Jr. of Chester Township.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie; parents, Anthony and Catherine; and brother, Joseph.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at the Nicol-Wells-Kloss-Murphy Funeral Home, 5252 Mayfield Road (between Richmond and Brainard Roads), Lyndhurst. Burial will be in Chester Township Cemetery.

Albeit 14 years belated, when I saw this obituary I was moved to add my condolences. If Dr. Kremm´s family happens to see this, I want them to know that he is in my memories as a wonderful teacher who always made me think. That was 60 years ago at Cleveland Heights HS. How I found this obituary is that an article in "The New Republic" triggered my memory of having first read that magazine in 1964 ... because Dr. Kremm made me read it. So I looked up his name and here we are. Rest In Peace, Dr. Kremm, and may your memory be a blessing.

I had Dr. Kremm for 11th grade history at CHHS and learned a lot. He had us read The Kerner Report on Civil Disorders. Dr. Kremm inspired me to major in political science (the field he had his PhD in) & introduced me to the kind of work social scientists do. I will always appreciate his intellectual influence and that he taught high school instead of college students. Sarah Reedy Jaquay (CHHS 1973.)

Your obituary caught my eye, because Mr Kremm's picture looks a lot like one of my own Dad, who would have been a little younger than your Dad, had he not gone Home many years ago. It helps me to remember we're only "walking through" this world - with our real Home as our reward, when we finish our work here. I hope that thought brings you comfort, as well. God bless.

our life span is 70 years . 80 with special mightiness. (Psalm 90:10) Walter was blessed with 99 years of special mightiness. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.
