Capt. Walter T. "Wally" Pilny passed away April 11, 2012 in Michigan, three days after his 56th birthday.
He was a marine surveyor, a member and past commodore of the Fairport Harbor Yacht Club, and a member of the Blue Gavel.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; son, Michael (Angie); daughter, Sara; step sons, Brian Bristow and Michael Ritek; grandchildren, MacKenzie, Kaylee, and Michael; sister, Joann (Rich) Vokurka; brothers, Ted (Cheryl), James (Lynne) of Georgia, Rudy (Sharon); former wife and friend, Donna Pilny; many nieces and nephews.
Wally loved life, boats, and especially his family, numerous friends. He will be missed by his dog, Ruby and cat, Socks. "He was our sunshine."
Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home of Painesville in charge of the arrangements.
