William G. Myers, age 77, of Mentor for the past 52 years, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.

He was born Oct. 16, 1934, in Utica, N.Y.
Mr. Myers was an engineer at Reliance Electric and E & W Services in Willoughby for many years. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and the Mentor Senior Center.
Survivors are his children, Cindy (Bob) Bjerstedt of Lebanon and Alan (Maryann) Myers of Mentor; grandchildren, Alan (Sarah) Myers Jr., Amy (Kevyn) Kistner, Christopher Myers, Eric (fiancée, Ingrid Goncalves) Bjerstedt, and Anna, Christina and Sarah Bjerstedt; and great-grandson, Alan Myers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Myers; and parents, William L. and Elizabeth Myers.
Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. (Please meet at the church.)
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be held at Mentor Cemetery in Mentor.
