William Horton Obituary
He was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Hillsville, Va., the son of Roscoe and Edith (Lineberry) Horton.
Bill served in the US Army in the mid 1960's. He has been married to Maryalice Hersh since 1986. Since 1986, Bill has been the owner of Horton Motors in Middlefield. A lifelong area resident he enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and especially loved spending time with his family.
He will be missed by his family and friends; his wife, Maryalice; his children, Stephen (Melissa) Horton of Garfield Hts., Leona (Chris) Bradshaw of Idaho and Mike Horton of Willoughby; many grand and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Rela Rominger of N.C., Ranza Horton and Lester Horton both of Va., and Randolph Horton of N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Melda Alexander, Emmadell Layman and Cecil Horton.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Russell Funeral Service, 15670 West High St. (Rt. 87), Middlefield, Ohio.
Per Bill's wishes, cremation will take place and burial will be at a later date.
