William "Channy" Landfield, 78, of Mentor for the past 48 years and formerly of Painesville, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
He was born Nov. 30, 1935, in Cleveland.
Channy was a plumber and business agent for Local 55 for the past 60 years. He was a graduate of Harvey High School's Class of 1955 and member of Harvey High School Hall of Fame.
Channy could be found most mornings enjoying coffee and conversation with friends at McDonald's. He treasured spending time with his family, especially attending his two grandsons' sporting events.
Channy was a veteran of the U.S.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Ann (O'Brien) Landfield; daughter, Amy (Chris) LeJeune of Mentor; and grandsons, Jack and Matt LeJeune.
Preceding Channy in death were his parents, Mark and Yvonne Landfield.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
