William M. "Captain Bill" Goble, 74, retired to fish with God Dec. 3, 2012.

Born in Cabin Creek, W.Va., and a resident of Eastlake for the past 40 years.
Captain Bill lived aboard his fishing charter boat "No Woes" for over 40 years as well as owning multiple businesses in the area, including Chagrin River Bait and Tackle.
Survivors are his loving wife and best friend, Sandy Goble; children, Hope (Ken) Kaput, Cheryl (Pam Young) Smith, Crystal (fiance, Ben) Jordan and Clarence Goble; grandchildren, Tyler and Amanda Kaput; and many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Jack (Peggy) Goble, Melvin (Pat) Goble and Donna (John) McPhail; many nieces and nephews; and favorite pet, Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Rosie Goble; and siblings, Virginia, Marjorie, Marguerite, Thurman and George.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where a prayer service will conclude the visitation at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
