William "Guy" Nelson, 50, of Mentor and formerly of Painesville, passed away at his residence.
He was born Feb. 25, 1963, in Willoughby, to Bill and Carol (Petty) Nelson.
Mr. Nelson enjoyed the outdoors, especially taking long walks. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and will be remembered as having the kindest heart.
He had been employed at Nel-Ack Sheet Metal in Painesville.
He is survived by his parents, Bill and Carol; sisters, Caren (Frank) Hunchuck of Mentor and Debbie (Phil) Heath of Madison; brother, Dave Nelson of Geneva-on-the-Lake; nieces, Jessica Nelson and Shawnette (Lintz) Wilson; nephews, Brad and Wes Heath; and also his great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his daughter, Sammi Nelson; and his brother, Garry Nelson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Perry Cemetery.
