Funeral Mass for John "Jack" O'Donnell, 86, of Lakeline Village, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ss. Robert and William Catholic Parish, 367 E. 260th St., Euclid.
Mr. O'Donnell passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at his residence.
Born Sept. 24, 1927, in Cleveland, he had lived in Euclid before moving to Lake County seven years ago, residing in Lakeline Village.
He was a member of Ss. Robert and William Catholic Parish and the Irish American Club Eastside Inc. He was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Mr. O'Donnell had worked as a journeyman as a 65-year member of Plumbers Local 55.
He was the loving father of John J. (Ginny) O'Donnell Jr. of Munson Township, Jim E. (Linda) O'Donnell of Munson Township, Betsy A. O'Donnell of Philadelphia, Pa., Barry C. (Nancy) O'Donnell of Munson Township, Margy M. (Rick) Kerestesy of Chevy Chase, Md., and Dan O'Donnell of Lakeline Village; faithful companion of Gloria J. Mulligan; cherished grandfather of 15; great-grandfather of 12; brother of Eileen Zimmerman and Joseph P. (Darlene) O'Donnell; brother-in-law of Sister M. Eugene Gear, O.S.U., and Charlotte Gear; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Irene C. "Renie" (nee Gear) O'Donnell in 2000; parents, James F. and Ellen (nee Craig) O'Donnell; sister, Kathleen Wissman; and brothers-in-law, Edward Wissman, Joseph Zimmerman, Bob Gear and Barry F. Gear; and sister-in-law, Geraldine Gear.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Ursuline Sisters, 2600 Lander Road, Pepper Pike, OH 44124.
