Mass of Christian Burial for Lillian "Paula" Roman, 87, of Willoughby, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at St. Noel Catholic Church, 35200 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills. Fr. George Smiga will be the officiant. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
Miss Roman passed away Feb. 14, 2014, in Kirtland.
Born April 5, 1926, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Mentor before moving to Willoughby three years ago.
Paula was a member of St. Noel Catholic Church and the Mentor Senior Center. She also loved gardening, cooking, baking and crocheting, and was a wonderful flower arranger. Paula was full of energy and loved to clean. She was very family-oriented, and was giving especially to her family.
Paula had been a supervisor for Gould Electronics prior to her retirement.
Survivors are her brother, Anthony (Shirley) Roman; and sister, Nell Lanese. She was also the dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna (nee Mitka) Roman; brother, Joseph Roman; sisters, Ann Toth and Joyce Garbo; brothers-in-law, Thomas Lanese, John Toth and John Garbo; sisters-in-law, Lillian Roman and Helen Roman; and special friend, Marie Leonard.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Paula from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop Road and Route 91).
