Chapel services and interment for Helen L. (Polansky) Bahrt, 90, of Mentor, will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 in the chapel at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.
Mrs. Bahrt passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Salida Woods Assisted Living in Mentor.
She was born September 13, 1923 in Cleveland, she was a longtime Wickliffe resident before moving to Mentor in 2008.
Mrs. Bahrt was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Willoughby Chapter 202 for more than 50 years.
Survivors are her children, Patricia (John) David of Willoughby and Guy (Pam) Bahrt of Lakewood; and granddaughter, Nichole (Simon Embley) Bahrt of Manchester, England.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Giles, in 2005.
There will be no calling hours.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Salida Woods Assisted Living and the staff and team members of Hospice of the Western Reserve.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Inc., 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110-2602.
Arrangements are entrusted to Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, Willoughby.
