Eleanor "Honey" (DeVanna) Kirchner, age 78, of Tavernier, Fla. for the past 24 years, formerly of Kirtland and Euclid, died Feb. 23, 2014 at Hospice House in Cleveland with her family by her side.
She was born Jan. 13, 1936 in Cleveland.
Mrs. Kirchner was a homemaker. She was a volunteer for Hospice of the Western Reserve, Lake Farm Park, VNA in Upper Keys, Fla. and the Mariners Hospital in Key Largo, Fla. She was on the board of directors for the Friends of Islamorada Area State Parks, Ladies Auxiliary of Euclid General Hospital and past president of the Euclid Jaycees Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, William L. "Bill" Kirchner; children, William P. Kirchner of Cleveland, Barbara A. (Edward) Nye of Kirtland, Kathleen "Katie" (David) Grgetic of Suwanee, Ga. and Timothy J. Kirchner of Key Largo, Fla.; grandchildren, Andrew (Laura) Nye, Meghan, Benjamin and James Nye, Robert and Emily Grgetic, Amber and Courtney Nelson; and sister, Jane Gallagher of Pierpont.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Leo and Helen DeVanna and brothers William and James DeVanna.
Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Rd., Kirtland, OH, 44094. Please meet at the church.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
