Judith A. (nee White) Clayton, age 81, of Willoughby, formally of Eastlake, passed away peacefully March 2, 2014.
She was the beloved mother of Clifford (Joanne) Clayton, Jeffrey Clayton, Catherine Luciani, and Cari (Sean) Doran; loving grandmother of Amanda, Brittany, Courtney, Kristin (Michael), James, Christopher, Francine (Neil), Regina (Jim), Kayla, and Krystle; great-grandmother of Shannon, Antonio, Emma Rose, Jonah, Maria, and Angelica. Sister of Quentin (Karen) White, Laurene Schlund, Olive Bavisotto, Rosalyn Hofmann, Robert Robert White, and Loren White; sister-in-law of Joan Kloss, Lynn Clayton, and Lois White; and best friends of Dorothy Romeo and Joan Midolo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Rose (nee Burch) White; son, Christopher Clayton; and sibling, Pat Zima.
Judy was born and raised in Chagrin Falls, she lived in Eastlake for 40 years before moving to Willoughby and worked at the Willoughby Eastlake Board of Education for 40 plus years as the print shop manager before retiring in 1999. She loved life and raised five children on her own, she always put them first. Judith was an active member of the Erieside Church and enjoyed traveling, cruises, Sanibel Island, skiing, reading, writing, and games.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, 95 S. Franklin St., Chagrin Falls.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery Chagrin Falls.
