Elsie (Roth) Schiemann Obituary
Elsie Roth Schiemann, 95, passed away March 21, 2014, she died peacefully surrounded by her family.
Elsie was born Nov. 23, 1918, in Cleveland to Michael Roth and Mary Ratscher, both of Euclid.
She graduated from Euclid Shore High School. After moving to Wickliffe, she was active as a Girl Scout leader, a member and officer of Willoughby Women's Club and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked at Wickliffe Public Library for over 30 years as a dedicated Children's Librarian. She volunteered at Forbes House in Painesville. She lived in Wickliffe for 60 years before retiring to Breckenridge Village in Willoughby.
Elsie was always friendly, generous, had a great sense of humor and a positive attitude.
She was the loving mother of Larry (Lisa) Schiemann of Ashland, Carol (Jerry) Fleece of Lima and Lee-Ann (Michael) Contenza of Kirtland; grandmother of Liz(Matt) Grothaus, Stacy, Cori and Matthew (Makenzie) Schiemann, Kris (Rob) Varallo, Crosby Manchester, Dominic Contenza; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of church family and friends.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, sister, Marion Holzberger and brother Michael Roth.
Memorial services for Elsie (Roth) Schiemann will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Willoughby on March 29 with visitation at 10am and services at 11am. Inurnment at Whitehaven Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Forbes House or Wickliffe Public Library.
