William E. Pohto, 73, of Madison, passed away April 4, 2014, at Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing Home.
He was born July 15, 1940, in Painesville.
Bill was a member of Lake Church of Christ in Concord, American Legion Jay Wilson Post 112, Local Laborers local 496 and Heavy Highway Local 860. He had served on the board of NEO Hospital and was a member of the Madison Lions Club. Bill had been employed by CT Consultants and had served in the
US Marine Corps
Survivors are his daughters, Anna Kothera of Burton, Kelly Taylor of Idaho, Lisa Zapp of Madison, Amy Fortney of Harpersfield and Debbie Brombacher of California; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; brother, Walter; and parents, Neal and Ellen Pohto.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at the Potti Funeral Home, 2726 Hubbard Rd., Madison, where friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Graveside services with military honors will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville, followed by a luncheon at American Legion Post 112 in Madison.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are suggested to American Legion Post 112.
