Douglas Joseph Mistelske, 46 of Warren, formerly of Parkman, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on September 6, 1967 in Painesville, son of Thomas Mistelske and Carol (Markovic) Mistelske Hornak.
After graduating from Berkshire High School in 1985, Doug received his Associate's Degree at Northwestern Business College and became a certified mechanic. However, there was nothing he couldn't fix – cars, blenders, vacuum cleaners, power tools..you name it. Friends and family often called upon him to make their appliances and machines run again. Doug also had a great passion for music. He played the Bass guitar for two local bands, The Burtones and UnRuly Child, and could often be heard standing in for bassists in other bands around town. Doug had a big heart and a great, if at times mischievous, sense of humor. He enjoyed a good laugh…and especially enjoyed MAKING people laugh.
Doug will be dearly missed by his friends and family; his father Tom (Nancy Dore) Mistelske of Burton; his mother Carol (Bob) Hornak of Burton; his son Zachary Mistelske of Paducah, KY; his brother Darryl Mistelske of Parma; 2 sisters, Debbie Mistelske of Burton and Diann Mistelske (Stephane Lavertu) of Hilliard; 2 step brothers, Marc (Carole) Hornak and Rob Hornak, both of Howland; and his niece Jessica Biltz
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Russell Funeral Service, 15670 West High St. (Rt. 87) in Middlefield with a Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Mike Continenza will officiate.
