Larry "Shoes" F. Holschuh, Sr., 65, of Burton Township, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at UHHS Geauga Medical Center.
He was born on June 8, 1948, in Cleveland, son of Edgar and Dorothy (White) Holschuh.
He married Karen Kelley, and lived in this area for 37 years. Larry was a truck driver for USF Holland for 40 years and retired in 2013. He was a member of the Teamsters Union 407 and a Boy Scout Leader for several years. He was an avid Sponge Bob collector, and loved watching Hockey with his daughter.
He will be missed dearly by his friends and family, his beloved wife Karen of 47 years; his loving 4 children, Larry Jr. (Katie George) of Brunswick, John (Lundy S. DeGrange) of Ft. Fairfield, ME, Melissa (Ross) Noble of Virginia Beach, VA, and Nicole (Dominic Graziano) Holschuh of Middlefield; 5 grandchildren, John Jr. (Amanda Arboghast), Brendan, Kayli, Alyce, and Giovan; his brother, Tom (Dot) Holschuh of Bainbridge; and his sister, Susan Holschuh of AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Pat Kapp.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at New Mercies Church, on the corner of Aquilla and Butternut Rd in Burton Township. Pastor James Ng will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Reserve, 17876 St Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110-9915. Russell Funeral Service in Middlefield assisted family with arrangements. Online condolences www.
