Raymond C. Hare, 84, passed away April 17, 2014 in Willoughby.
He was born July 8, 1929 in Cleveland. He had lived in Eastlake for more than 50 years. Raymond was a U.S. 3rd Army Master Sergeant serving in the Korean War 430th Combat Engineers.
Raymond was a lithographer for Buehler Steingass Lithograph in Cleveland for 36 years. He also worked at Cleveland Institute of Electronics in Willoughby and was a custodian for Willoughby Eastlake schools.
An avid sports fan who loved the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns.
He is survived by his brother, Glen Hare of AZ. and sister Doris Kirkpatrick of Eastlake; father, to Tamela Drum, Pamela (David) Watkins and Edward Kirkpatrick (Cathy Cochran); grandfather to Angela (Billy) Hedrick, Mario Drum (Theresa Tucci), Edward Kirkpatrick Jr. and Tiarra Vincent; great grandfather to James Raymond Drum and Antabella Mari Hedrick; he also leaves a host of many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Mary Hare; brothers, Donald "Rabbit", James and Robert; sisters, Constance McIntosh and Elva Ware; half-brothers Clayton Oswald and Eugene Oswald and brother, Donald Walter.
Memorial service will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday April 26, 2014 at Jack Monreal-Coyne Funeral Home, 31925 Vine St., Willowick. American Legion Post 678 service at 7 p.m. and Army Honor Guard at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
