Thomas J. Legan, age 70, of Leroy Township passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born December 14, 1943 in Cleveland.
Mr. Legan was the owner and operator of Wickliffe Black Oxide Inc.. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High school class of 1961 and Ohio University class of 1965. He served 2 years in the Army and was a lifetime member of the VFW in Leroy Township. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Thompson and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Mr. Legan gave the gift of life through his donation to Life Banc.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Legan; nieces and nephews, Terry (Carol) Crane, Thomas Crane, Jeanne (Alan) Lose, Robert (Dawn) Legan, Mary Beth (Scott) Finlay, Susan (Richard) Scheinbenreif and Martin (Kimberly) Legan. He is also survived by eight great nieces and nephews and six great-great-nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law's Madeline Legan of Mentor and Janet Noda of Englewood, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Agnes Legan; his brother, Robert Legan; his mother and father-in-law, Paul and Verna Kalich and his brother-in-law Gerald Noda.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center 8466 Mentor Avenue Mentor, OH 44060.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio.
