Judith L. Pfahl, age 74, of Richfield, prior of Chardon, died May 4, 2014, at University Hospital in Cleveland.

She was born June 3, 1939, in Cleveland to John Burger and Marian (nee Manchester) Burger, Sr.; she had been a lifelong area resident.
Judie graduated from Chardon High School and prior to her move to Richfield, was a member of St. Luke Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her children, C. Scott Pfahl of Richfield and Cheryl (Robert) Lohbeck of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Michael and Christy Pfahl and Rick and Amanda Walker; sister-in-law, Sharon Burger of Middlefield; nephews, Scott (Wendy) Taylor of Ky., Cory (Kimberly) Taylor of Nelsonville and Peter (Nichole) Smiar of Vt.; and niece, Stacey (Tom) Walsh of Mass.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Burger; and step-brother, Brian Smiar.
Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street (On Rt. 44, 500' south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon. A private family burial will take place.
Gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
