Travis Jon Teske Obituary
Travis Jon Teske, age 24, of Madison, passed away at home too soon the morning of May 25, 2014.
He was born on November 2, 1989, in Painesville.
Travis was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, grandson, fiancé and friend.
A 2008 graduate of Madison High School, Travis graduated from the Culinary Arts Program at Auburn Career Center and then pursued a Restaurant Business degree at Lakeland. He worked as a chef at Dino's in Mentor for several years while working to learn different sections of his field. Travis landed his dream job as executive chef of Madison Country Club, which made everyone so proud. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and loved sports such as baseball, basketball, football, snowboarding, skateboarding, and quiet time by the pool and fishing. Travis wore a smile on his face that would light up your world.
Survivors are his loving parents, John W. Teske Jr. and Peggy "P.J." (Etherton) Teske; sister and brother-in-law, Tiffany Leigh (Teske) Gardner and Andrew David Gardner of Columbus; fiancé, Shana Schraufl, of Madison; daughter, Delilah Maria Teske; grampa John W Teske Sr., of Englewood, Fla.; uncles and aunts, Ted and Carol (Etherton) Malensek, of Geneva, Tom and Lori Zabukovec of Madison, Charles (Buster) Etherton of Belmont, N.C., Larry and Laurel Scavnicky of Willowick; nephew, Beau David Gardner; cousins, Joe and Crystal (Malensek) Evans and their children Dakota, Jarrett, Landon, Elexis of Geneva, Amanda Malensek (Son) Chaitain of Ky., Theodore Charles (Teddy) Malensek of Geneva, and Letitia Scavnicky of Willowick.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John W. Teske III; grandparents, Charles and Carol Etherton, Janet Teske, Marie Teske; and aunt, Regina Cone, of Madison.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the Potti Funeral Home, 2726 Hubbard Road, Madison, where friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will be in Arcola Road Cemetery in Madison.
