Mary Oris, age 94, passed away at her home in North Port, Florida, Thursday, June 5, 2014.
She was born Mary Puskas on March 4, 1920, in Painesville, Ohio.
She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Fairport Harbor.
Mary had worked at the former Columbia Match Co., in Mentor, for over 40 years.
She married Louie Oris, in 1973, and they enjoyed four decades of travel, music, and mornings spent at the downtown Painesville McDonald's with their many friends, until Louie's death in 2006.
She is survived by her son, Otto "Sam" Esterle, and her daughter, Sue (Tom) Hanson, both of North Port, Fla.; stepson, Lou (Connie) Oris , Painesville; stepdaughters, Janet (Dillon) Rutledge, Painesville, and Judy (Ivan "Sam" ) Cogar, Perry; grandchildren, Jim (Chung Hui) Esterle, Pickerington, Ohio, Otto Esterle, Berlin, Germany, Sandy Esterle, Key Largo, Fla., and Hugh (Shannon) Esterle, Punta Gorda, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Otto Esterle; second husband, Arthur Kurzenberger; and third husband, Louie Oris; brothers, Ted and Louis Puskas; sisters, Loretta Bryan, Marge Henry and Julia Esterle; and parents, John and Mary (Tackas) Puskas.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Potti Funeral Home, 1009 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hungarian Reformed Church, Fairport Harbor, Ohio.
