Erwin A. Bischoff, age 83, passed to be with the Great Creator on June 20, 2014.
He was born on August 27, 1930, in Cleveland. He was the son of Olga (Olson) and Werner Bischoff. He was a Lake County resident for a number of years.
Erwin was a graduate of Arizona State University in Tempe earning a degree in Economics and Management. Upon his graduation, Mr. Bischoff received a Commission in the U.S. Air Force where he served during the Korean Conflict.
A retiree of Coe Mfg. in Painesville, Erwin was active in the Atlanta Sales Dept. covering the southern states; export sales in the Pacific Rim countries and China from the New York City export offices; the Eastern Canada and the Canadian Atlantic Provinces; as well as the Northeastern United States from the Painesville Sales Office.
Mr. Bischoff was a Life Member of Al Koran Shrine, Temple Lodge 28 in Painesville, and Elks Lodge 549 in Painesville.
Erwin was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity at Arizona State University, where he returned in in 1999 for his pledge classes 50th Anniversary. He was also a member of the Painesville Country Club "Flies" and won their golf "open" championship in 1990 and 1991.
He was a former member of the Cleveland Athletic Club, St Martins Association, and the Painesville Gyro Club.
He is survived by his wife , Judy (Weitzman) Bischoff, whom he married on March 30, 1966; daughters, Kimberly Bischoff of Mentor and Chris (Ken) Jordan of Willoughby; grandchildren, Kenny (Amanda) Jordan, Kayla (Greg) Leuders, and Kyle Jordan; great-grandson, Ayden Rusher; and his pet cat, "Smoky"
Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, where friends will be received from Noon until time of services.
