Helen Mae (nee Strmac) Plavac, age 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, July 4, at Parkside Villa, with Continuum Hospice Care.
She was born on August 3, 1933, in Cleveland.
She was active in several Catholic Churches throughout her life in the Cleveland area and at Holy Love Ministries.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph, of 56 years; her dear children, Rev. Timothy Plavac and Andrea Boerger (Ken); her loving grandson, Zachary; her brother, John Strmac (Ann); her in-laws:, Mary Dobos, George (Mary), Anna Mae, Donald (Jean), Ralph (Joanne), Sr. Ann Barbara, SSFCR; many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Strmac; her infant sisters, Dorothy and Mary; her brother, James Strmac; her in-laws, Nick and Milan Plavac, and Andrew Dobos.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, at St. Bede the Venerable, 9114 Lake Shore Blvd, Mentor, 44060.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 7, at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Additional visitation at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., on Tuesday. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
