Gordon Ashmore, age 89, passed away on July 3, 2014, peacefully at his home in Mentor.
Gordon was born on March 7, 1925, in Thomasville, Georgia.
He worked at Cleveland Crane and Engineering, was an avid reader, and enjoyed camping and music.
Mr. Ashmore is survived by his wife, Martha (Byler) Ashmore; sons, Tim of Ft. Lauderdale Fla. and Mark; daughter, Debbie (Harry "Butch") Beasley of Peyton Colorado; grandchildren, Cory (Christine) Beasley and Betsy Beasley and great-grandchild, Claire, all of Peyton Colorado
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise (Vokuhn) Ashmore; brother, John H. Ashmore.
Funeral Services will be at 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville, where friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
